Why camp when you can glamp!
Glamping has become particularly popular with 21st-century tourists seeking the luxuries of hotel accommodation alongside “the escapismand adventure recreation of camping”.
Below you can find a few of my favourite glamping spots in Western Australia.
1. Mile End Glamping, Margaret River
Enjoy a night under the stars at Mile End Glamping in Margaret River in one of their luxury domes with elevated views over the valley and a private outdoor deck with two person’s spa bath.
Escape the stress of everyday life and enjoy the amazing Australian nature without sacrificing on luxury and comfort.
It books out fast so make sure you book at least 4 – 6 months in advance to not miss out.
2. Discovery, Rottnest Island
Rottnest Island opened their glamping eco retreat in March 2019 and it is set behind the dunes of the beautiful Pinky Beach.
The eco retreat has 83 luxury fully kitted eco-tents and includes a pool, licenced restaurant, BBQ and bar. But the best of this place is the breathtaking coastal views.
There are four types of tents available
- Base Camp with all the basics
- Tuart with a kitchenette and private deck
- Family with a separate annexe for kids
- Dune with the whole shebang plus ocean views
Discovery – Rottnest Island is located 1km from the ferry pier. You make your way their via an easy and scenic walk as the island is predominantly free of cars. Check your luggage in with the ferry provider and they will send it to Discovery by the Island’s delivery serivice which can take up to 2 hours. Make sure you pack a day bag with bathers!
3. Two Blind Cows, Margaret River
Experience glamping with comfort and style at the Two Blind Cows in Margaret River. It is a romantic, eco-friendly glamping getaway in the Australian outback.
Two Blind Cows Glamping has 3 luxury tents set in the paddocks amongst the tree stands of Woolrabunning Farm. Their tents will provide visitors with a place to “go bush” in style.
